Alan Gomez

Alan has been involved and committed to the word of exercise, movement and sports from a young age where he represented his country (Paraguay) in Professional Tennis Tournaments all the way up to his younger adulthood.

Alan Gomez
CrossFit Coach

Alan has been involved and committed to the word of exercise, movement and sports from a young age where he represented his country (Paraguay) in Professional Tennis Tournaments all the way up to his younger adulthood.

His work experience in Fitness Facilities dates all the way back to 1994, ranging from small commercial gyms as a Gym Instructor to big 3-million-dollar facilities such as Reservoir Leisure Centre, owned by Darebin City Council where he worked as a Programs Coordinator for 15 years.

He was fortunate enough to be admitted into one of the few “Free” Universities in South America for Physical Education Courses as one of a selected group of 80 after 2 weeks of admission exams and physical tests, back in 1997, finishing as one of the top two students after four years of studies. This gave him the courage to adventure himself into new scenarios and opportunities by moving to Melbourne, Australia at the end of 2000.

Moved on to more traditional Fitness training later in Gyms when leg warmers and spandex were the “thing”. Started as a Group Exercise Instructor and added Personal Training very quickly from there as another trade of his. This opened a lot of doors within a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from beginners, intermediates to advanced or elite. Within a community based level, he has worked with all types of clientelle, younger, older, disabled, in particular people with Down Syndrome, MS and individuals with physical disabilities. Within this frame of work, he has developed a passion towards helping “People Move” and he is constantly learning new ways and methods to assist others to find alternatives in moving and exercising.

Within a different scope, he’s also had the opportunity to train elite athletes in the tennis scene back in South America and has been involved in assisting The Australian Open with their Gymnasium Facilities since 2009.

On a more generic fitness aspect, it was only natural for Alan to find in Functional Fitness or Crossfit a way to interpret his own needs to become a fitter person. He has been using Crossfit as his training since 2013 and has coached since 2015. This passion for Crossfit and all kinds of exercise is what he delivers each and every time throughout his classes and Individual Training sessions. He participates every year in the Crossfit Open as a Masters Athlete and has never missed a year since 2014. Age is not a barrier in his mind, his most common phrase: “If you consistently move, you will always win”

Zachary Singer
CrossFit Coach

Like most American kids, Zach played baseball and football for most of his childhood. A little before highschool he stumbled upon Jiu-jitsu, sambo, Muay Thai and judo. After a knee injury he decided to swap football for soccer and continued with that through high school and university, where he eventually found CrossFit, which has been central to his fitness regime ever since.

He believes unreservedly in the pursuit of virtuosity in all endeavors and in a relentless and unending quest for knowledge. Quite simply, if something is worthy of our time, it is worthy also of a continued effort toward greater understanding and mastery, and hopefully we can have fun with it along the way. Zach’s goal is to help people to break through barriers — whether self-imposed or perceived, whether physical or mental — and to achieve more than they believed themselves capable of achieving, both within the walls of the gym and beyond.
