We have partnered with Back In Motion Brunswick (BIM) to offer our members a premium level of service, education and advice from qualified physiotherapists who also CrossFit themselves.

Our 3 stage system is designed to:

1. Screen potential risks before they get out of hand
2. Provide up to date information to you, the coaches and physio’s so everyone is on the same page, and
3. Provide a long term plan to address any identified risks or current injuries

You can read more about why we have set this up and what it can do for you here: Introducing Back In Motion Physiotherapy

Sports or remedial massages provide excellent recovery assistance for CrossFit athletes. Getting a regular massage once a month or more can help you reduce soreness and risk of injury while increasing mobility so you can perform better.

The AMTA states that research shows that in relation to exercise and athletic participation, massage can do the following:

  • Reduce muscle tension
  • Help athletes monitor muscle tone
  • Promote relaxation
  • Increase range of motion
  • Decrease muscle stiffness and soreness after exercise
  • Enhance athletic performance
  • Help prevent injuries when massage is received regularly

Note: CFM members receive 10% discount on all services from the Back In Motion Brunswick Team. Private Health Insurance rebates are available

Beginning his junior studies in Melbourne’s west, Lawrence later moved to sunny Queensland where he completed his Physiotherapy degree. He has since moved back down to Melbourne and began work with Back in Motion, Brunswick in 2015.

Lawrence has always had a passion with competitive and recreational sporting activities, which in turn, grew to become a passion in the world of health and fitness. Lawrence enjoys the outdoors as much as he does physiotherapy, choosing a camping and waterskiing trip with friends and family over a night out on the town. Lawrence’s personal sporting interests include gym training, water skiing, snowboarding, kite surfing, mountain and motor bike riding.

A sustainable, holistic and balanced approach to physiotherapy is what enables Lawrence to address a wide range of musculoskeletal disorders. By working with patients to address the driving factors of pains, injuries and health related disorders, Lawrence is able to promote optimal lifelong physical health for his patients.

Born in California and raised on a small tropical island called Guam, Eva moved to Australia to pursue her studies in Physiotherapy at Bond University. Before moving to Australia Eva served almost four years in the United States Navy. Upon graduation, she decided to leave the beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast to become a part of the Back in Motion Brunswick team.

Eva grew up playing sports including basketball, volleyball, cross-country, and ultimate frisbee which led her towards pursuing a career as a Physiotherapist with a genuine desire to help others. She enjoys working with people through a holistic and patient-centered approach in achieving their optimal well-being and addressing the multidimensional nature of pain and disorders. Eva has an interest in injury prevention management and musculoskeletal disorders of the shoulder and neck. With some volunteer involvement in building houses for those in need and in volunteering in fitness events Eva hopes to provide her professional services with the SOS Health Foundation.

In her spare time, Eva enjoys Crossfit, Olympic Weightlifting, running, learning to surf, eating anything and everything, and sipping on a good cup of coffee. She’s more likely to explore her new surroundings by running around and getting lost or in cafes enjoying the scene.
